Heartbroken

Heartbroken

May 25, 2022

I wanted to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support that was given to me for the recent passing of my mom, Elizabeth Edwards (for so long the face of my practice) and my son, Richard Miller who recently passed as well.

My mom, as many of you know, for the past 6 years fought a terrible battle with throat and tongue cancer. She lost that battle a little over a week ago. My son Richard who was 36 and lived in CA, was on a disability retirement from the Army. Richard, like my mom was compassionate, loving and giving. Rich suffered a massive seizure and heart attack causing him to be deprived of oxygen which caused his brain to die. The loss of my mom and my son so close together reminds me that life changes so suddenly. You need to stop, look around, breathe and be present always to those who you love and care about.

My heart is broken, but the support and love from you has reminded me that friends and family are always the most important things in your life. Thank you.

“At the end of life, what really matters is not what we bought, but what we built; not what we got, but what we shared; not our competence, but our character; and not our success, but our significance. Live a life that matter. Live a life of love.” (from: lessonslearnedinlife.com)

Thank you, all of you for your love, compassion and outreach. It means the world to me.

With much love,

Gayle
